Uses: seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis; chronic urticaria and other allergic dermatological disorders
May not be suitable in: severe hepatic impairment; Pregnancy; children younger than 1 year of age.
Hepatic impairment: reduce dose frequency to alternate days in severe impairment
Breast-feeding: Suitable
Adverse effects include: headache, sedation, fatigue, dry mouth; rarely hypotension, palpitation, arrhythmias, extrapyramidal effects, dizziness, confusion, depression, sleep disturbances, tremor, convulsions, hypersensitivity reactions (including bronchospasm, angioedema, anaphylaxis, rash, photosensitivity reactions), blood disorders, liver dysfunction, and angle-closure glaucoma
Dose: 5mg for Children under 12yo, 10mg for over 12 years, or as directed.
